Hi Vanish,

Sorry for being slow in picking up on this. Exciting to hear that you are working on back-ups of the SLENZ builds. We have long wished to offer them off SL but the task has seemed a very daunting one.

Where you mention the no mod scripts and the clothes, I just wanted to check if you were making copies of the rezzed builds on Kowhai or of the builds as they are boxed by the welcome area. The boxes contain all the SLENZ items under the CC-BY-SA licence and if there are any items in the box, scripts or anything else that are no mod or no copy then this is in error and we will look to correct it as soon as we can.

The rezzed builds on the other hand contain a number of items that SLENZ is not the copyright holders of; clothes, plants and trees, in particular which is why we packaged up the things that we can offer within the boxes.

Let me know if there is anything else we can help with. :)

Well, there is no technical possibility to reinstate the original creator''s name, however, I am aware of the requirements of the CC license, and will attribute the creation accordingly.

If this method strips the creators name from any prims, textures, scripts, animations, sounds or clothing items you must ensure then that all items in whatever manner they are distributed conform to the license, this being Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike License 3.0. All items must be attributed to the original creators in the manner they were when created, i.e. the creators name reinstated and that name must travel with the items when they are distributed. Also please note the whole of the SLENZ Foundations build, as it is displayed on the Kowhai sim, is not under this license, just the build as it is delivered in the packaged unit. There are objects on the displayed build that are privately owned and are used for aesthetic reasons but are not "part" of the SLENZ project deliverables.

Every technical requirement can be bypassed, a good instruction is here: http://rock-vacirca.blogspot.com/2011/03/moving-objects-between-opensims.html

The nested content is a problem, especially the shop area, if the outfits are covered by the CC license as well. It would be neccessary to save every single texture of every outfit, and make them into an outfit again, which might take a lot of time.

OK exactly the same way I am doing it. Thought you might have a little trick up your sleeve for the nested content. Obviously more free time to spare than I have atm *smiles.

I was under the impression that one was required to be the creator of material saved out. How are you bypassing that requirement?

Will look into the no mod files in the next few weeks when I find a moment.

Cheers

Hi,

the scripts that are no mod are:

In the Midwifery:
New Script in the chair
position script in the terrace area
New Script in the terrace doors
New Script in the sink next to the pool
New Script in the Baby (both in the bed and crib; baby probably needs to be mod too).

In the SLENZ foundation build:
New Script in the buttons for Rez Shop, Rez Pose Stands, Rez Catwalk, Rez Interview and Rez Video of the Hyperdome console
rezSteps in the left stairway

The method is pretty straightforward, I''ll save every component separately and reassemble them on OpenSim manually, then save the whole probably as an .oar

Can you specify the many... I did attempt make them all full perms. Would also be interested in your method for moving these offworld given that there are many instances of content within content. Am in the process of moving the Foundations build atm

Hi there,

I''d love to make a backup of both the midwifery and the SLENZ foundation build for OpenSim grids, but many of the included scripts are set to no mod; it would be helpful if those can be included so they''re readable, or be posted somewhere here.

Thanks,
V
